OUR FIRST DAY IN THE GARDEN

The week has started with a lot of changes: new garden subject, new location...and a lot of vegetables to take care of. So, let's go watering and meet the garden plants and vegetables.

It's our last day, ohhh... We check the vegetables and watered them before leaving.

Our friend, the cat, has been playing with the nets and vegetables and we had to fix all the mess.

Once solved, let's go!

WATERING THE GARDEN

During the weekeng our friends, the cats, have been playing in our garden doing a mess. So, we have to fix it.
Once solved the problem, we watered the vegetables and covered them with a net to avoid the entrance of the animals. It will be enough? Let's see!

Today we have been cleaning the soil.

COLLECTING RADISHES

Today we went to the garden and we collect Radishes!
They are very big, amazing, delicious with lemon juice and salt! It's very healthy and helps our stomach.

We saw a ladybird in the green beans. The ladybird was yellow with black spots.

GARDEN RECIPES 12: COURGETTE CAKE

INGREDIENTS:

- 3 eggs
- 300 ml milk
- 2 courgettes
- Grated skin of one lemon
- 75g parmesan cheese
- 50g flour
- 75g butter
- 2 tablespoons of ground almonds
- 3 tablespoons of minced mint

PREPARATION:

1. Geat the oven to 190º.
2. Melt de butter and spread a little over the walls and bottom, of a 6 small baking trays.
3. Sprinkle each one with 1 tablespoon of grated parmesan cheese and reserve in the fridge.
4. Pour the remaining butter with milk and eggs in a bowl and mixed it.
5. Sift the flour in a large bowl and add a pinch of salt, the ground almonds, the grated lemon skin, the minced mint and the rest of the grated parmesan cheese.  Mix everything and make a hole in the center

Discovering mushrooms

Today we have gone to the garden, watered all the vegetables and we have removed all the weeds.

Also we have discovered some mushrooms in the soil!

Harvesting lettuces

Today we have gone  to the garden and we have seen  that the lettuces were big so we have harvested them. And what a discovery! We have found a lizard!
Also, we have seen that the oranges are growing.

Preparing for the last harvesting!

Today we have carried out some maintenance tasks in the orchard. Now that vegetables are growing rapidly we have to prepare everything for harvesting.
Look at our daisies, they have a lot of flowers.

Harvesting carrots!

Today we have finally harvest the carrots. And what a discovery, they were gigantics! Tonight we can prepare a delicious salad with them!

Amazing strawberries!

As you can tell it's already spring! The strawberries are growing very fast.
Also the carrots are almost ready! We have take one of them and it measured, almost 14 centimeters!

Discoveries in the garden!

Today we have seen that all the chard have grown a lot and we have recollected them. And what a discovery! We have found a shield bug hidded!

GARDEN RECIPES 11: Bledes a la catalana

INGREDIENTS:

- 1 Kg bledes fresques.
- 4 alls grans
- 4 cullerada sopera panses de Corint.
- 3 cullerada sopera pinyols
- Pebre negre
- Sal
- Oli d'oliva.

CÓM ES FA?

1. Bullim les bledes i les escorrim bé per treure'ls l'aigua.
2. Les saltegem amb la paella amb una mica d'all.
3. Torrem els pinyols i les panses i ho barregem amb les bledes.
4. Afegim sal i pebre a gust.
Ja tenim una combinació infal·lible de les terres catalanes.

Recipes with the garden vegetables!
